However, something is off with the CEO of SpaceX, Elon Musk. Despite having made so many breakthroughs in space travel, Elon Musk has never once taken a trip to space. But, Why is that? Well, we will find out in just a second.

China is shutting down Aluminium, Textile and many more industries

Posted by in categories: Elon Musk, energy, food

China is losing the most basic necessity of human civilisation-electricity. Till now, we only knew how the Chinese steel mills, aluminum manufacturing and power sector may be suffering in lack of thermal coal. However, China’s power woes could be much bigger and brutal than what we imagined.

Javier Blas, Chief Energy Correspondent at Bloomberg News, tweeted, “CHINA ENERGY CRUNCH: The electricity shortages in China are worsening, and widening geographically. It’s getting so bad Beijing is now asking some food processors (like soybean crushing plants) to shut down.” A report says, “from aluminum smelters to textiles producers and soybean processing plants, factories are being ordered to curb activity or — in some instances — shut altogether.

Tesla shareholders vote overwhelmingly to retain Kimbal Musk, James Murdoch on Board

Posted by in categories: Elon Musk, governance, sustainability, transportation

Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA) shareholders voted overwhelmingly to retain Kimbal Musk, brother of CEO Elon Musk, and James Murdoch on Tesla’s Board of Directors, according to an 8-K filing with the SEC that revealed the number of votes to re-elect the two to the company’s Board for three more years.

On October 13th, Tesla filed an 8-K form with the SEC that revealed the number of votes that supported or were against the re-election of both Kimbal Musk and James Murdoch to the Tesla Board. The number of votes for other proposals was also revealed. However, prior to the company’s 2021 Shareholder Meeting on October 7th, proxy advisory firm Institutional Shareholder Services, or ISS, urged Tesla investors to oust both Musk and Murdoch from the Board. Their reasoning was based on the belief that the two non-executive board members did not present any advantages to the automaker’s governance.

“Votes AGAINST directors James Murdoch and Kimbal Musk are warranted due to concerns regarding excessive compensation to named executive officers and to non-executive directors,” ISS wrote in a note to investors. The firm was adamant that Kimbal’s payout package was not necessarily logical for the company as he did not serve on any board committees. Additionally, ISS felt that Murdoch’s presence on the Tesla Board of Directors also was not justified due to his service on Audit and Governance Committees. The Audit Committee pledged a large sum of company stock to directors, which raised questions regarding its risk oversight. The Governance Committee failed to react appropriately to last year’s Shareholder proposal, which was supported by the majority of voters.

‘Welcome To The Second Space Age’ Where Science Fiction Is Turning Into Reality

Posted by in categories: Elon Musk, space travel

When I was a kid, the promise that ‘common’ people would someday get to space was more of a science fiction idea. We knew that it was on the table, but we never really expected it would turn into reality. ‘Commercial’ flights were depicted in movies, but people never found them convincing enough. However, I was, and still am, somewhat of a dreamer, and somewhere deep inside me, I always kept that promise close to my heart, where many of my motivations and ambitions come from.

SpaceX sparked my imagination when I first heard about it, and Elon Musk was a fantastic source of inspiration for what is to come. Then, as I grew older, things started to shape up, and we began hearing promises of Mars adventures, while commercial flights seemed to be put off for a while. I knew I would never be an ‘astronaut’ in the profound sense of the actual job because of my aspirations as a researcher and teacher rather than a professional pilot. Still, I always dreamt of reaching space during my lifetime.

Now, more than ever before, this thing has been achieved. ‘Civilians,’ or more accurately, an ‘all civilian’ crew has not only reached space but also stayed there for three days. Inspiration4 is the name of the mission, and rightly so, as it inspired everyone with its amazing achievement. For all of the crew members, it was the first flight ever.

NASA Plan To Put A Telescope On The Dark Side Of The Moon

Whether these different organisations want to land astronauts, install a human outpost or mine minerals and make rocket fuel on the moon, it still lacks an exceptional and important asset– A lunar radio Telescope. Why? Because this development will be uniquely poised to answer one of humanity’s greatest questions: What is our cosmic origin?

All the lunar missions that are being planned along with all other missions that different organizations want to accomplish, will be of no use if we don’t seek answers to fundamental questions like “what is the universe made up of? What are we made up of?” And a telescope on the far side of the moon will help us answer these important questions!! So let’s take a look at why this is important and what NASA is planning to do about it.
As mentioned earlier the universe constantly beams its history to us. For instance, the information of what happened long ago in the universe is contained in the long length radio waves that are present everywhere throughout the universe and most likely hold the details about how the first black holes and stars were formed. But there’s a problem. Our noisy radio signals and our atmosphere block these signals from coming to the earth and we can’t read them. The far side of the moon is the best place in the inner solar system to monitor these low-frequency radio waves and help us in detecting certain faint ‘fingerprints’ that the big bang left on the cosmos. The problem with our earth bound telescopes is that they encounter too much interference for electromagnetic pollution caused by human activity, whether it is short-wave broadcasting or maritime communication. On the top of that our ionosphere blocks the longest wavelengths from reaching our earth-based telescopes in the first place. We need these signals to understand and learn whether our universe inflated rapidly in the first trillionth of a trillionth of second after the big bang.

This is the reason why NASA is in the early stages of planning what it would take to build an automated research telescope on the dark side of the moon. One of the most ambitious proposals is to build the Lunar Crater radio telescope or the LCRT

How Neuralink Will Change Humanity Forever

Posted by in categories: Elon Musk, robotics/AI

Elon Musk said: In the future, you will be able to save and replay memories by Neuralink This is sounding increasingly like a Black Mirror episode.

Elon Musk says you will even be able to store your memories as a backup, and then download them into a robot body. It sounds like science fiction but Neuralink believes it could make that happen one day with a chip.

It is a brain-machine interface or BMI – a device that connects your brain to a computer. But before chasing these futuristic goals, the startup is focusing on one thing: ending human suffering.
