For example a large C-shaped bronze horn known as a kompu, which is used in Kerala in southern India, is similar to late Bronze age horns found in Scandinavia known as lurs.
Other instruments bear a striking resemblance to horns known as carnyx, used by the Celts in Ireland, Britain and France.
The findings suggest there was a lively exchange of culture between Europe and India more than 2,000 years ago.
